overview

At Jungle Camps India, we understand that every guest has his/her own requirements and wildlife photographers even more so. If you are a wildlife photographer travelling alone or with a group of students, our experienced team of safari and travel experts will understand your needs and design the tour based on it.

India is a highly diverse land with many different national parks who are unique in their flora and fauna. It is also a home to over 2/3rd population of the world’s tigers, the keystone species of many parks and a diverse as well as interesting fauna. Due to the well managed parks, a healthy population of tigers and some of the best in-house trackers and naturalists, it provides you with an opportunity for some of the best sightings and safari moments that can be captured. See the exclusive leopard while it rests camouflaged on the branches of the tree, or a sloth bear looking for termites and ants. Witness the pack of wild dogs on a hunt as they use whistles and many other forms of communication or a family of gaurs simply near the grasslands going about their day or the glimpse of various resident and migratory birds.

Our team can curate a tour based on your interests and will suggest a combination of parks and the safari zones with highest probability of the sighting for you. There are options for booking full day safaris with special permissions to let you spend a quality time in the park. Proactive suggestions, handling of excess luggage or the requirement of special jeeps, all these can easily be ensured to make your trip a memorable one.

details
Suggested Itinerary 1: Tiger -Tiger : The best of Tiger Safaris Kanha, Tadoba & Bandhavgarh

Central India is known as the ‘tiger country’ due to the forests being the stronghold of the mighty Royal Bengal Tiger. All the three parks suggested are well known to provide the highest probability of tiger sighting in the wild.

Suggested Itinerary 2: Tiger & Other Wildlife: Sloth bears, Leopards, Dholes & Gaur Tadoba, Kanha & Pench

While tiger is an important keystone specie, Indian wildlife is diverse and these parks gives you an opportunity to sight various other mammals in their glory.

Suggested Itinerary 3: Asiatic Wild Dogs: the deft predators Pench & Tadoba

When we think of endangered species, we usually think of megafauna like tigers. However, wild dogs, locally known as Dholes are listed under the IUCN red list of endangered species. ‘ Dhole’ is aptly named as it literally means ‘daring’ or ‘reckless’.
Despite being a member of the canine family, the dholes do not bark instead they have unique methods of communicating like whistling, high pitched screams, chattering and clucking. These communication methods are different for different actions and help them communicate with their pack during hunts and other activities. These dogs often hunt animals much larger than them and start eating them while they are still alive. The alpha male is also known to fight off tigers and leopards as many a times they compete for the same prey. There have been many recorded incidences of them even hunting tigers and leopards in the wild. Watch these fascinating predators in the wild during your trip designed to sight them.

Suggested Itinerary 4: Rhinos & Tigers Chitwan (Nepal), Kaziranga, Tadoba & Kanha

Kaziranga is known for being one of the world’s major stronghold of Indian one-horned rhino. The park’s achievement in saving rhinos from the brink of extinction to housing the single largest population of this species is a spectacular conservation achievement. Similarly while Chitwan is in Nepal, it is a great park to sight these spectacular species.
Tadoba and Kanha Tiger Reserve, fall under the famous Project Tiger, are known to be some of the best managed parks with a healthy tiger population giving opportunity for some spectacular tiger sightings. Both these parks have a diverse flora therefore which provides for some of the most interesting backdrops.

Suggested Itinerary 5: Birding Special Bharatpur, Kanha & Tadoba
